RBI Reference Rate for US Dollar and Euro
The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.44.0200 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.57.5200 on January 10, 2005. The corresponding rates for the previous day (January 07, 2005) were Rs.43.8300 and Rs.57.8100 respectively.

91 day Treasury Bills auction

The Reserve Bank of India has announced the auction for notified amount of Rs. 2000 crore
Of this amount, Rs.500 crore will be auctioned under the regular auction calendar and Rs.1500 crore under the Market Stablisation Scheme (MSS). The auction will be conducted using ""Multiple Price Auction"" method. The allocation to noncompetitive bidders will be outside the notified amount, at the discretion of the Reserve Bank. The results will be announced the same evening. Payment by successful bidders will be on Friday, January14, 2005.

The Governments of 20 States have offered to sell 7.02 per cent State Development Loan, 2015 having maturity of ten years aggregating about Rs.6000 crore on January 11, 2005 by way of tap sale under the normal market borrowing programme and pre-repayment of their high cost debt to the Central Government.

RBI announces rate of interest on FRBs 2017

The rate of interest on the Floating Rate Bonds, 2017 applicable for the half year (January 2, 2005 to July 1, 2005) shall be 5.99% per annum.
It may be recalled that the rate of interest on the FRB, 2017 was set at a mark-up over and above the variable base rate.The variable base rate based on the average rate of the implicit yields at cut-off prices of the said last six auctions of Government of India 364 day Treasury Bills worked out to be 5.65 per cent. The coupon rate has been fixed accordingly.
